How do I read and understand the charges on my bill?

Monthly Bills Explained

This is what a normal monthly bill looks like


1. Invoice Number & Balance Summary

This is where you will find your invoice number and the total balance due for this bill.
If your bill contains any credits, they have already been factored into this total.

2. Due date & payment terms

This is the date your bill is issued, how long you have to pay your bill and the date payment is due.


3. Recurring charges

This is any recurring charges you have for services in the monthly billing period. For example, security patrols or security alarm monitoring. The billing period dates are indicated below the services (as shown in blue)

4. One-Off Charges*

This is any one-off charges that have been applied for the previous monthly period are located. For example, alarm responses or service calls. 
These charges are billed in arrears -  Read more about how billing cycles work here
* Alarm responses are considered one-off charges as they are triggered on a "per alarm" basis, however, more than one alarm can occur in any given month.   

5. Bill Summary

This is a summary of your bill and shows your total before and after GST as well as your total balance due.  Any credits or previous payments will also be reflected here.
Credits will be shown like this:
(-) 43.75
Any previous or extra payments made will be shown like this:
(-) 175.00
      
If you have direct debit set up when you receive your bill the payment will already be shown and the balance due will show $0.00

6. Payment Options

This section lists the different ways you can pay your bill including EFT, BPAY®, by credit card or PayPal ®
You can also set up direct debit via MyAccount to pay your bills automatically.

7. Account Number

This is where your account number is shown. You'll need this if you need to call us to help us find your account.


How do I check my account balance?

There are a few ways you can find your account balance:
  1. On top of your bill
  1. Via MyAccount
    1. Sign in to MyAccount using the same email that you use to receive your bill
    2. Your account balance will be displayed to the top of your home screen when you sign in
      1. Any outstanding amounts are displayed on the left in orange.
      2. Availible Credits (or payments made in excess of what was due) are shown on the right in green

Excess amounts or available credits you've paid will be applied automatically towards your outstanding balance or next bill.

Good to know
  1. The balance shown doesn’t include unbilled usage or credits applied since your last bill
  2. Payments can take up to 48 hours to show in MyAccount



Bill Status

To make it easy to keep track of your bills, If your bill has been paid or partially paid it will be shown at the top of your invoice.
