What to expect during a technician visit
If you have arranged an appointment with one of our technicians, here's what you need to know:
When will they visit?
The technician will be scheduled to visit within a three-hour window, such as 11 am - 2 pm.
Please note that exact timing cannot be guaranteed as it depends on the completion of previous jobs.
We'll send you an SMS when the technician is on their way, along with a link to track their arrival.
Pre-Appointment Preparation
Prior to the technician's arrival, please confine any animals to a different area of the property, and ensure the space around your alarm equipment is clear and free of any obstructions.
- It's essential that someone 18 years of age or older is present on the premises during the technician's visit. If you've nominated someone else to be present, kindly provide us with their name and contact number.
- Have all relevant documentation related to your system ready, including sale documents, warranty information, service books, and user manuals.
- For alarm-related appointments, make sure you have any necessary user codes, especially the master code, readily available. For CCTV-related appointments, ensure you have usernames and passwords accessible.
On the Appointment Day
- Please be at the premises for the duration of the appointment window and ensure you can hear someone knocking or ringing the doorbell.
- Prior to the technician's arrival, ensure easy access to all security equipment and your modem (if needed for devices requiring internet access)
- Inform the technician of any safety hazards on your property, such as asbestos, trip hazards, or recent pest treatments.
- If you reside in an apartment or unit block, the technician may require access to the Communications room (Main Distribution Frame or MDF room), for which you may need to coordinate with your strata or building management for access.
For CCTV Appointments
Access to a computer on your network may be necessary. Please have the administrator login for the PC available, or arrange for your IT manager to assist with access.
Missed Appointments
In the rare event that the technician misses your appointment due to factors like traffic, illness, or prior complex issues, we will promptly contact you to reschedule.
