We take a different approach to patrol verification and building seal integrity. We don't use paper slips to indicate attendance or a doors seal integrity. These types of indicators have a tendency to blow away in the wind, and also have no way of verifying a door has not been opened since being checked, as a person can just replace the paper slip.
We use tamper-proof door seals to indicate both patrol and alarm response attendance, these are the same type of seals used to seal aeroplanes.
This article explains how these seals work, and how we use them.
Patrol Seals
We use patrol seals on your site, were requested to seal and verify that a door has not been opened during the night. These seals are blue and have a unique seal number that will be noted down in your patrol report.
These seals do not leave a residue when used correctly, and when removed indicate they have been tampered with by showing STOP across the seal.
If a door was to be opened while a seal is attached, the seal will void or in some cases break in half. In both circumstances, a clear indication of a door being accessed is immediately visible
We recommend you remove the seals as soon as you arrive at your site, while these seals do not leave a residue, if left on for an extended period of time, especially in the sun, they can leave behind a slight residue from where the stop indicators have been shown.
Alarm Seals
If we have conducted an alarm response at your site to indicate our attendance and also verify the site has not been accessed since our departure. These seals are red and larger than patrol seals. They also have a unique seal number which will be noted on your alarm response docket.

Seal Removal
In most cases, these seals do not leave a residue when used, however, if in the rare case it has, simply rub your finger over the residue and it will fall away. The rear of the seals is made of an adhesive rubber material, so rubbing the residue will cause it to ball up and come straight off.
