Prerequisites
- A temporary gmail account to send mail from.
- A email to send the notification to.
- An NVR.
- Windows PC
This process can also be completed on a Mac however this article does not cover the steps for set up on a Mac If 2 Step Authentication is set up on Gmail, it will prevent the NVR from being able to send mail.
For this reason we recommend setting up a Gmail account specifically for the purpose of sending the email notifications.
You should never disable 2 Step Authentication on your main email account.
