Testing Your Bosch Solutions 16 Alarm System

It is important to regularly test your Bosch Solutions 16 alarm system to ensure that it is functioning properly and meets all necessary compliance standards. Insurance companies may also require annual servicing.

System Tests

To test the different components of the system, follow these steps:
  1. To test the horn/siren, press and hold the [1] button until you hear two beeps from the keypad.
    The horn/siren will sound for 2 seconds.
  2. To test the bell/siren, press and hold the [2] button until you hear two beeps from the keypad.
    The bell/siren will sound for 2 seconds.
  3. To test the strobe, press and hold the [3] button until you hear two beeps from the keypad.
    The strobe will flash for 2 seconds.
  4. To send a test report, press and hold the [9] button until you hear two beeps from the keypad.
    This will send a test report to the monitoring station.

Walk Test

You can also enter walk test mode to test the system's sensors:
  1. Enter the master code (the default code is 2580).
  2. Press [4], followed by the hash [#] or [AWAY] button.
  3. The "stay" and "away" indicators will begin to flash on the keypad. The keypad will beep once every second to remind you that walk test mode is active.
  4. When a sensor is triggered, the siren will sound briefly.
  5. Press the hash [#] or [AWAY] button to exit walk test mode.
