Bosch 6000 Alarm System Basic Functions Guide

In this guide, you will find instructions on how to arm and disarm the panel, trigger duress or silent alarms, bypass zones, set chime mode, and reset smoke detectors. Follow the steps provided to efficiently use and maintain your Bosch 6000 Alarm System.

Arming the Panel

  1. Enter your PIN code on the keypad, then press the "ON" key.
  2. If your PIN is valid and all zones are normal, the exit delay timer will start. You should leave the premises at this time.
  3. If your control panel detects a fault in a zone, you will need to resolve the issue or bypass the zone before arming the panel.
During the exit delay period, you can cancel the arming process by entering your PIN followed by the "OFF" key.

Disarming the Panel

  1. Enter your PIN code on the keypad, then press the "OFF" key.

Duress or Silent Alarms

To trigger a duress alarm, enter your normal PIN code followed by the last two digits of your PIN code and either the "ON" or "OFF" key.
Example: If your PIN code is 2580, to send a duress report when the area is off, enter [2] + [5] + [8] + [0] + [8] + [0] + [OK] or [ON].
If your PIN code is 2580, to send a duress report when the area is on, enter [2] + [5] + [8] + [0] + [8] + [0] + [OFF].

Bypassing Zones

  1. Enter [MENU] + [3] + [0] + [2] on the keypad.
  2. A list of zones that can be bypassed will appear on the keypad. A tick next to the zone name indicates that it is already bypassed.
  3. Use the up and down arrow keys to select the zone you want to bypass, then press [OK]. Alternatively, you can enter the zone number and press [OK].
  4. Press "ON" or "OFF" to toggle the zone between bypassed and un-bypassed.
  5. Press [OK] to save and exit, or press [MENU] to exit without saving.
Repeat these steps to bypass or un-bypass additional zones.

Chime Mode

  1. Enter programming mode by entering your PIN code followed by [MENU] on the keypad.
  2. Enter [MENU] + [3] + [0] + [3] on the keypad.
  3. A list of areas will appear on the keypad. Use the up and down keys to select the area you want to program chime mode for, then press [OK].
  4. The keypad will display a list of all zones that can be set to chime mode.
  5. Use the up and down keys to select the zone you want to set for chime mode, then press [OK]. Alternatively, you can enter the zone number and press [OK].
  6. Press "ON" or "OFF" to toggle the zone between chime mode on and off.
  7. Press [OK] to save and exit, or press [MENU] to exit without saving.

Resetting a Smoke Detector

  1. Enter [MENU] + [3] + [0] + [5] on the keypad.
  2. A list of areas will appear on the keypad. Use the up and down keys to select the area where the smoke detectors are located, then press [OK]. Alternatively, you can enter the area number and press [OK].
  3. The keypad will automatically return to the menu once all smoke detectors in the selected area have been reset.
