Reliance alarms are fitted with a host of additional features. Each feature is explained here, including the instructions for activation.
Door Chime
Chime mode provides an audio warning when a protected area is entered. The door chime is turned on or off by pressing the [CHIME] key while the system is disarmed. If the chime is on, the chime light will be lit. If the chime is off, the light will be off.
Each press of the [CHIME] key will toggle the chime feature on or off.
Chime mode must be programmed by your security installation company, so inform them if you require this feature in any areas.
Exit Mode - Extending the Exit Timer
Exit mode allows you to extend the exit time after arming your security system.
You can press the [Exit] button twice to re-start the exit time. The code pad will beep faster in the last ten (10) seconds as a warning.
Viewing Alarm Memory
When an alarm activation occurs, the zones that were in alarm during that activation will be held in memory. You can view the last alarm activation by reviewing the alarm memory.
To view the alarm memory
- Press [*] then [3]
- The alarm memory feature will flash the zones that triggered an alarm and display steady the zones that were bypassed during the last alarm.
Reset Latched Alarms
The reset latched alarms function resets smoke detectors, zone troubles, and zone tamper alarms. If the code pad begins beeping after attempting to reset, the reset was not successful. Enter your code to silence the code pad, wait a few minutes, and try the reset function again. If the code pad continues to beep after multiple attempts, please contact your installer.
